San Antonio's economy continues to regain momentum after a year of economic challenges.
Leading the way are the companies making the Business Journal's 2004 "Fast Track." "Fast Track" is a special publication which lists some of the city's fast-growing companies.
Success stories in a variety of industries can be found among the 33 firms appearing in our 2004 listing.
Diligent Consulting Inc. registered the highest growth among Fast Track respondents this year. The IT consulting firm saw its gross revenues soar more than 833 percent over the three most recent fiscal years (2001-2003).
The companies listed in this special section were identified through an extensive surveying process.
The results of that survey were tallied by certified public accounting firm Carneiro, Chumney & Co. LC.
To determine the winners, Carneiro, Chumney ranked the companies that responded to the survey by their percentage of revenue growth over a three-year period (2001-2003).
Those winners were then placed in revenue categories and published in this section.
In addition to the Fast Track listing in this section are a number of business resources and columns to help aspiring businesses get off the ground and to help established businesses grow.
To produce a project of this magnitude requires the support of the business community. We appreciate the firms that took the time to respond to our call for entries and who provided the financial information necessary to compile our Fast Track listing.
Other key players in this project include the co-sponsors of Fast Track: Carneiro Chumney, Community First Health Plans, Jackson Walker LLP and Wells Fargo.
2004 Fast Track winner AGE Refining, Inc. ranked #33 and percentage growth is 8.03%
$100 million/under $500 million in gross revenue in fiscal 2003.
