San Antonio, TX 04/16/08: As part of its ongoing commitment to the environment, AGE Refining is proud to have sponsored the 14th Annual Basura Bash. Along with a charitable donation, AGE employees volunteered at the March 29, 2008 event.
The Basura Bash Planning Organization is a volunteer organization committed to increasing San Antonio's stewardship of the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River through hosting regular cleanups including the annual Basura Bash, providing community education regarding water pollution and natural resource preservation, and building public/private partnerships for the betterment of our community's environment.
AGE is a proud member of this community and we strive to support initiatives that improve environmental quality and share our mission of a cleaner environment, near our Refinery as well as in the larger San Antonio community.
AGE Refining, Inc. employees participated in the community-wide event collecting trash and recyclables from the banks of the San Antonio River as well as its tributaries near our refinery location at 7811 S. Presa Street. Along with volunteering at the annual event, we will continue our ongoing commitment to the environment by "adopting" the section of the river and pledging to clean it throughout the year. "Environmental stewardship is a core value of AGE. AGE seeks to achieve a high standard of environmental care in conducting our day to day business and believe our responsibility begins in the community," says AGE Controller Lisa Trefger.
AGE Refining, Inc., founded in 1991 and based in San Antonio, manufactures, refines and markets jet fuels, diesel products, solvents and other highly specialized fuels. Our clients cover a variety of sectors, including commercial, local municipalities and the federal government.
