Additives Basics

Additives are hydrocarbon compounds added to or blended with a product to change its properties. You will see additives that modify a fuel's level of octane, cetane, or its cold flow characteristics.

AGE Additive Features

• Content: All AGE additives are paraffin based
  
  
• Burn Quality: Paraffins provide the cleanest combustion
  
  
• Purity: All are clear and bright
  
  
• Clarity: All are water white except HAN
  
  
• Sulfur Content: All are typically very low sulfur, 150 ppm or less

Quality Control: Additive batches are certified against rigid laboratory standards and samples are tested and approved at strategic locations in the distribution system to provide quality assurance.
