WHAT WE MAKE
While refining is a complex process, the goal
is straightforward: to take crude oil, which is virtually unusable
in its natural state, and transform it into the wide variety of petroleum
products that keep America's homes, vehicles and industry running.
Refining involves breaking the crude oil down into distinctive boiling
ranges called fractions, then making these into useful products.
Here at AGE, we refine crude to produce jet fuels, diesel products,
solvents and other highly specialized fuels for our commercial,
industrial and government clients. We pride ourselves on being able
to deliver niche products more efficiently and effectively than
many of our larger competitors.
Most important, we are committed to achieving the highest level
of quality in all our products using innovative and environmentally
friendly processes. Our reputation and product stewardship are keys
to AGE's success in the competitive marketplace. Using technology
to our advantage reinforces our commitment to quality, and AGE continually
evaluates new methodologies for ways to improve the quality of our
products.
Quality is a continuous process: at AGE Refining, quality control
starts with the crude oil itself. We start with a pure feedstock
- low sulfur crude. Before processing, each shipment is sampled
to check for quality. Once in production, every stream of product
coming off each process is sampled. AGE sets extremely high standards
and follows American Society for Testing Material (ASTM) guidelines.
Because we start with low sulfur crude, our finished products are
naturally low in sulfur, and that helps the environment.
These high standards are maintained throughout the entire AGE refining
and distribution system, and are a primary reason customers choose
to work with us.
