Being a family-run organization, AGE is fully committed to ensuring that the community where we do business is also the community we want to live in. San Antonio isn't just where we send our kids to school; it's also a place that reflects how proud we are to be Americans and to be Texans.

Al Gonzalez, Chairman Emeritus of AGE, has given his personal time to a variety of local community organizations, including the Boy Scouts, the March of Dimes, The United Way and The Leukemia Foundation.

In 2008 AGE participated in the 14th Annual Basura Bash which was a great success as our employees worked together to restore the banks of the San Antonio River directly behind our Plant. We are proud that our employees participated in an event geared at preserving the natural areas surrounding our Plant. Efforts to improve our local environment will be ongoing in the years to come. AGE also supports the Wayne Drymala Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, which was established by AGE in memory of our former CFO. The scholarship, which began in 2007, is awarded to students pursuing their Executive MBA at the UTSA College of Business.

Each year donations are made to a variety of local civic and community organizations on behalf of AGE and our family of employees. In 2003, AGE began an underwriting initiative for the development of a community center and swimming facility that will be used by youth and adults. This center will be given to the Boy's and Girl's Club of America.

In addition, AGE Refining is proud to be an annual participant in the Carl McCain Golf Tournament, benefiting current and former employees of the energy field who require financial assistance for their medical needs.

Giving back is a reflection of our philosophy as to why we do business.
